WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- At the UCF Challenge in Sorrento, Fla., Purdue freshman Junthima Gulyanamitta placed second with a six-under par 210 (72-66-72) to lead the Boilermakers to a second place team finish. Her low round of 66 on Monday is a personal-best, and is the second lowest single round in school history. Gulyanamitta's three round total set a school record for a 54-hole tournament, eclipsing teammate Christel Boeljon's 212 at the Landfall Tradition in the fall of 2005.
This is Gulyanamitta's first Golfer of the Week honor and the second of the season for Purdue. Freshman Maude-Aimee Leblanc earned the award for the week of Feb. 27.
