Fields captured medalist honors with a career-best 74 at the Butler-DePauw dual match. She shot a one-over-par 36 on the front nine and then closed with a three-over-par 38 on the back nine to edge teammate and runner-up Paige McCracken by a single stroke.

The Ladies Golf Academy at French Lick will be one of the premier ladies golf instruction programs in the country. The academy will feature a number of LPGA instructors lead by Suzanne Noblett, the Midwest LPGA Teacher of the Year, and one of the leading LPGA teaching instructors in the Country. The three-day academy will offer ladies of all skill levels a wonderful opportunity to receive quality instruction in a fun and un-intimidating atmosphere lead by top female LPGA and PGA teaching professionals.

In addition to Suzanne Noblett (Fort Wayne, IN), four other LPGA teaching professionals from the Midwest will join the Ladies Golf Academy. Fellow teachers include former LPGA touring professionals, Martha Faulconer (Lexington, KY) and Karen Monaldi (Valparaiso, IN), along with top LPGA teaching professionals Libby Pancake (Carmel, IN) and Jeri Reid (Mount Pleasant, MI).
The three-day ladies only golf academy will be limited to 20 students per school with a 4:1 student/ LPGA teacher ratio. All facets of the game from the mental side, to putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, irons, and woods, will be covered. More importantly, their stay would not be complete without additional instruction and strategy sessions on the course while playing! This will allow the ladies to take what they have learned during the lessons apply it and better see how everything fits together.

The dates for the Ladies Golf Academy at French Lick are May 18-20 and June 22-24. The cost for the school ranges from $1,406.99 at French Lick Springs to $1,616.99 at West Baden. WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- At the UCF Challenge in Sorrento, Fla., Purdue freshman Junthima Gulyanamitta placed second with a six-under par 210 (72-66-72) to lead the Boilermakers to a second place team finish. Her low round of 66 on Monday is a personal-best, and is the second lowest single round in school history. Gulyanamitta's three round total set a school record for a 54-hole tournament, eclipsing teammate Christel Boeljon's 212 at the Landfall Tradition in the fall of 2005.
This is Gulyanamitta's first Golfer of the Week honor and the second of the season for Purdue. Freshman Maude-Aimee Leblanc earned the award for the week of Feb. 27.The Donald Ross Course at French Lick (
The 18-hole Donald Ross Course at French Lick (formerly the Hill Course) officially re-opened in September 2006 after a $4.6 million remodel. Management worked closely with the Donald Ross Society to preserve the historical integrity of the course every step of the way. The work returned the course to Donald Ross' original design. The project included restoring greens and bunkers to their original shapes and creating native grass areas that emulate Scottish links. With wider cart paths, a computerized irrigation system and golf carts equipped with GPS, players enjoy a blend of the traditional playing experience with modern technologies.
The nine-hole, par-36 Tom Bendelow Course, adjacent to the French Lick Springs Hotel, is on schedule for a summer 2007 opening. "This will truly be an enjoyable course and incredible practice facility for players of all skill levels," said Dave Harner, director of golf. The course measure 3,490 yards from the tips and is augmented by a 400-yard-long driving range, a chipping area and practice bunkers.
By spring 2008, golfers can look forward to the opening of the Pete Dye Course at French Lick. The layout is moving closer to its final shaping and seeding. Located on the rolling bluffs behind the historic French Lick Springs Hotel, the Pete Dye Course is being carved some 50 feet into the hillsides. Although Dye aims to make this a "walkable" course, golfers are sure to feel Dye's signature challenge.

The title for the Indiana Women’s Golf Association Player of the Year was a close race, but Ellen Mueller of
Though unable to attend due to college classes, Ellen was recognized at the 2007 Indiana Golf Hall of Fame dinner held at Meridian Hills Country Club.
Ellen began the season by finishing runner-up to Kristi Piepenbrink in the IWGA Match Play Championship at Rock Hollow Golf Club. She fired a 1 over par total at The Legends of Indiana to place third in the Indiana PGA Women’s Open, a event that was won by Future’s Tour member Danah Ford. She capped off her IWGA season with a runner-up performance in the Indiana Women’s Amateur Championship, losing in a playoff to Potter.
On the National scene, Mueller qualified for the 2007 US Women's Amateur held at Crooked Stick and played in the 2007 U.S. Amateur Public Links in
